Soles - Titanes 98-94 We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Santo Domingo where 5th ranked Titanes (10-10) were defeated by sixth ranked Soles (9-11) 98-94 on Tuesday. Soles made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Titanes turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Isaiah Williams (188-1995, college: Georgia St., agency: BIG) who scored 19 points (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) chipped in 16 points. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Caneros looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and center Earl Watson (201-1990, college: URI) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Despite that victory Indios went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Caneros. Reales lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost.
